Operation	Power on is manual, and power off is automatic. Helmet will switch off after detecting 12 - 15 mins of inactivity, to preserve battery useful life. Power consumption of this unit is very low, and is assisted by the solar cells. A good set of batteries [ set supplied with your purchase ] will last some time.
